Gold’s Gym is one of those places that will always have a special place in my heart. This was the first gym I signed up for at 16 and went there until I moved away until I was about 23. Legends such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno and Franco Columbu are some of the most well known athletes to have worked out here. If you are looking to sign up for a gym membership and thinking about Gold’s Gym, you are probably curious about the cost of a Gold’s Gym Membership.

In this article we will review the cost breakdown of Gold’s Gym and what you can expect for that price tag.

How Much Does Gold's Gym Cost?

The cost of Gold’s gym can vary based on your location. The most famous location in Venice, California cost around $120 on a month to month basis. This is relatively high for a gym membership but if you are into bodybuilding this is the mecca of all gyms.

Other Locations will cost significantly less but can vary from state to state. Here’s a look on how much a Gold’s Gym Membership can cost based on your location.

California

At Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles, California, the basic membership cost $54.99 with an enrolment fee of $60. This club has amenities such as Personal Training, WiFi, a Pool and Unlimited Group Exercise Classes.

New York

New York based Golds Gyms typically cost around $50 per month. Based on your location you can expect a Sauna and or Steam Room, a Pool, Boxing Rooms, Group Exercise Classes and a Protein Shake Bar.

The Golds Gyms I would go to were based out of New York and they were the best gyms I had ever gone too.

Review of Golds Gyms Cost

As inflation has increased prices on everything in the last 3 years, gyms are no exception. The cost of a Gym Membership at Gold’s Gym can vary based on your location.

Gold gyms do give you a lot of value for your money and offer a ton of amenities. I have also noticed that all of the clubs I have been to were very clean and well kept. If you are worried about the crowd being unwelcoming when joining a gym, Gold’s is not that place. Everyone I have ever met at any Gold’s Gym I have ever been to has always been welcoming, helpful and if you needed a spot from a member; they are always willing to help.

Conclusion

When picking a gym, I believe you should look at these few things when making your decision. The first is the proximity to your house. Having a gym close to your house I believe is one of the most important things because if it is far you may not want to make the effort to go.

Second, look to see if the amenities you will be using justifies the cost of the membership. If you believe you will not use any of the amenities, maybe that gym is not the right one for you. On the other end of the spectrum, if there are a ton of amenities you think you will be using and the cost may be a little high, the cost may be justified.

Now most gyms offer free trials or daypasses if you are still not sure. Give the gym a trial and see if you like it. If you believe you will, discuss membership costs with an employee of that club and use that to make your decision.
